Mr H. Swinney
Assegai Primary School has over the years built up a fine tradition as an educational institution of a high calibre and it commands the respect of the whole community and beyond. If anything bears this out it is the keenness by parents to have their children enrolled at the school.
Various factors have contributed to this favourable image. The principal and staff, as did their predecessors, pursue their objectives with a single-mindedness of purpose and a sense of commitment. The loyalty, support and co-operation of the parents have also played a major role in this healthy growth. The pupils , too, have in their own way given what was expected of them.
This is a place where sound character and industry, among others, are values which are carefully nurtured. Because the school sets as its goal the development of the whole person, it’s educational programme provides for the cultural and sports of its pupils. The production of this magazine is testimony of its enterprising spirit.
I am therefore very happy to identify myself with the school and all it stands for. May its efforts to bring out the best in its pupils be sustained and may it experience success in every area of its endeavours.
